“Drama can be an energy drain, draining our power and identity. Balance is what we re-attain with the small steps we take in practice . . . a return to innocence.“—Susan
Essence and Power of Non-reaction
No drama, no control, just quiet and calm – essence and power of non-reaction, no energy drain.
The drama in some people’s lives serves as excitement, prompting the body to manufacture adrenaline, producing a pleasurable surge of energy.
There are so many people in the world who just seem to be magnets for calamity. They live their lives jumping from one difficult situation to the next and surrounded by unstable individuals. Some believe themselves victims of fate and moan about a universe they regard as malevolent . . . rather than benign.
Chaos
Then there’s chaos: viewing their chaotic circumstances as just punishments for some inner failing. Yet, in truth, neither group has been fated to suffering. They are likely unconsciously drawing drama into their lives, attracting catastrophe through their choices, attitudes, and patterns of thought. Drama, however disastrous, can be exciting and stimulating.
But the thrill of pandemonium eventually begins to frustrate the soul and drain the energy of all who embrace it. To halt this process, we must understand the root of our drama addiction, be aware of our reactions, and be totally willing to accept that a serene, joyful life needn’t be boring . . . especially when you spend some time in your day dancing and chanting!
Our Identity
Drama in our life might serve a few purposes: But this is not our identity – true being nature is our identity. And the experience of living through the Age of Pisces has been: we are not victims or martyrs, nor are we saviours.
